Tennessee Basketball Picks Up Grad Transfer

Tennessee Basketball Picks Up Grad Transfer
Jon Reed

On Monday night, Richmond guard Khwan Fore announced on Instagram that he has chosen Tennessee as his transfer destination.

Fore is a grad transfer and will be eligible immediately and fill the role of the departed James Daniel III.

The 6 foot guard averaged 11 points per game on 48% shooting from the field in 2017-2018 while playing 32 minutes for the 12-20 Richmond Spiders. Khwan is not a good shooter from deep, shooting 27.5% from 3.

Nevertheless, Tennessee has its first official commit of this recruiting class. The basketVols will have high expectations heading into the season and Fore gives Barnes the option of having a guard with college experience.

Tennessee has missed out on key commitments from the likes of Anfernee Simons, who opted to turn professional, and James Akinjo chose Georgetown over the Vols.
