SHOTS FIRED: Former Vols Assistant SID Gets Salty, Calls New Guy ‘Clemson Boy’

In a tweet posted Wednesday evening, former UT Assistant Sports Information Director, Stephen Lee, called out current Director of Recruiting Content, Clay Bollinger (or “Clemson Boy” according to Lee).



The tweet was in response to a graphic, posted by the Tennessee Football Twitter page, that boasted the talents of dozens of NFL stars, including Ha Ha Clinton Dix, Tyrann Mathieu, and Nick Fairley. The “tone deaf” tweet received major backlash for listing a considerable amount of players from other SEC schools; schools that Tennessee often loses recruits to.

Twitter users have voiced their opinion regarding the matter, including Will Oakley, who speculated about Butch Jones doing the same thing in the future.


There have been a lot of different reactions, but we all know where Stephen Lee stands. Waiting on your response, “Clemson Boy.”
