Video allegedly showing Trey Smith attacking fellow recruit resurfaces

Tennessee’s spring practice has shown us that true freshman offensive tackle Trey Smith is a big, aggressive dude. This
video shows Smith giving the business to Jonathan Kongbo.

Now, a video showing Smith allegedly attacking then-recruit and Ole Miss signee Tony Gray has started gaining traction again. The video, which has appeared on Reddit, a few team forums and Twitter, is below.

If the two young men are Smith and Gray, the timing would put the video around the Under Armour All American game in late December or early January. The video was originally tweeted back in December, and the “stealing” part of the tweet is a reference to rumors that Gray stole Smith’s headphones, prompting the altercation. However, the two were all smiles just a few days before the game.

The most recent @VolBlood tweet has gained a good bit of Twitter traction in the past day or so. This comes just a week after Smith said UT students shouldn’t be scared to approach him on campus because “I will not eat you, I will not harm you, I just want to say hi.”

Maybe Smith just has an interesting way of saying hi.
