Following a seven-month investigation, the NFL found that there is “no credible evidence” that Peyton Manning took human growth hormone. Manning was accused of using the performance-enhancing drug in a documentary made by the Al-Jazeera news network last year.
According to a press release, Peyton and his wife Ashley were “fully cooperative” with the investigation and provided interviews and access to all pertinent records.
The investigation included witness interviews, a review of “relevant records,” research of online resources, and laboratory analysis. It was carried out by the NFL’s legal and security teams, as well as expert consultants.
The league is still investigating other players named in the Al-Jazeera report including James Harrison of the Pittsburgh Steelers and Clay Matthews of the Green Bay Packers.
