Beginning July 1, FOX Sports Knoxville will add a consistent weekend presence to its rapidly growing local lineup. Keith Hatfield, formerly of WVLZ, will launch a new show for the network to air year round on Saturday mornings.
The statement from Keith Hatfield on his move to FOX Sports Knoxville:
“First, I’d like to thank everyone at WVLZ. I enjoyed my time there immensely. Sharing the Sunday airwaves with Clone and Lot Boy was great fun. WVLZ is a class operation and I wish them the very best going forward.
Now, on to the future. I consider it a unique opportunity to join the FOX Sports Knoxville family at a time when so many exciting new projects are in their infancy. Bringing a new viewpoint to Saturday morning sports talk in Knoxville is something I am excited about being a part of at this moment in time. I can promise the audience that the forum will be open and unfettered.
FOX Sports Knoxville is now the place where the major sports issues of the day will be freely debated and all opinions will be heard. I will do my part to make sure Saturday mornings hold up their end of that bargain with our listeners. July 1 at 9 a.m. will be the launch of the new show. I hope you will all join me and make your voices heard. One promise I will make is that it most certainly will not be boring.”
Hatfield’s show will be a new concept for the Knoxville sports talk veteran. It can be heard on WKGN-AM 1340, FM 101.5, streaming online here or through the WKGN App. Podcasts will also be available and you can subscribe to the FOX Sports Knoxville iTunes feed here.
