So, Tom Brady can mainline beer with the best. Who knew?

In case you missed it, Brady went on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert Monday night and was essentially challenged to a beer-chugging contest by the host. Brady absolutely dusted him.

He drank his beer so fast that he turned the glass up, drank the beer in about two seconds, put the glass down with a little bit still in it, realized there was still some in it, picked it back up, finished it, and put the empty glass down again before Colbert was even done. Brady “waxed that ass” as the kids say.

Apparently this isn’t anything new. The legend of Tom’s mad beer-drinking skills have been circulating for a long time, with Brian Hoyer’s telling being the most famous. Apparently, a beer-chugging contest broke out among Patriots players one time after they played in Buffalo. With linemen and apparent party-star Julian Edelman leading the way, someone suggested Brady get in on the contest. Brady, after being coaxed into it by the rest of the team, proceeded to bury them all then rub it in all of their faces, in true Tom Brady fashion.

What else does Brady do at an elite level, in addition to playing quarterback and chugging beer? Is he an all-world dog trainer and nobody knows it? Does he crochet he team’s jerseys with his toes? Does he bake his own bread? Does he don a red wig every four years and masquerade around the Winter Olympics as Shaun White just for the hell of it? Personally, my money is on that last one.
